A perfect couples getaway, close to the Cathedral City of Durham and market towns of Corbridge and Hexham. Anglers can try their luck at Waskerley and Derwent Reservoirs. On entering this pretty cottage you will find yourself in attractive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The spacious and welcoming lounge is ideal for relaxing in, and is tastefully furnished and complete with TV/DVD. Open the patio doors allow the light to flood in. The elegantly designed kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave and Dulci Gusto coffee machine and a dining area to sit in and enjoy your home cooked meal. There is also a ground-floor WC. Heading up too the first floor, you will find a comfy and a bright and spacious bedroom with sumptious super King-size bed and TV/DVD, complete with an en-suite bathroom with WC.

Stepping outside, you can unwind at the end of the day in the woodburning hot tub in your own private enclosed patio, complete with seating. There is also a large shared courtyard and gardens with private seating area leading from the patio doors.   There is also an enclosed store room for bikes.

I couldn't recommend this place enough! We loved our stay here. The location was peaceful and the cottage itself was so homely and cosy and had everything we needed. We'll definitely be going back.

The cottage is gorgeous. Huge bedroom with super king bed which is so comfortable. Lovely bathroom off the bedroom with bath/shower. Gorgeous cottage! The scenery is beautiful. The facilities within the cottage and gardens are excellent, it really was a little home from home. The onsite shop is a fantastic idea. One of the best weve stayed in.

Jayne really went above and beyond for us by letting us host a get together for 7 German shepherds. Although we had only booked the 1 bedroom Hishope cottage for the weekend she offered us the use of the much bigger Derwent cottage for the day of the get together to accommodate all 11 guests and 7 dogs. This gave us much more room to feed and waterRead more everybody. A great day was had by all, perfect location and the dogs loved it!! Beautifully presented cottage, fully equipped with modern appliances. This was our second visit and it was just as good as the first. The cottage was beautiful. Clean, well equipped, comfortable and with a large enclosed garden for the dog. Has a wood burner for if it's chilly, and a separate, private enclosed area for the hot tub. The owner was lovely, she lit the hot tub so it would be warm for when I arrived. On our arrival we were greeted by a friendly hello from Jayne.We entered the Hishope cottage and greeted by fresh flowers, slices of lemon cake ,tea,coffee,sugar and fresh milk great start. Cottage is located in a nice place up on the fells. Very quiet. You need transport to get around the area but there are plenty of beauty spots to visit. Cottage well appointed with all modern amenities. Jacuzzi a definite bonus with this cottage.

The cottage was really cosy and well presented there was a lovely welcome pack with tea, coffee and homemade cakes. The owner was really friendly and met us on arrival and welcomed us to the property while offering any support over our stay. The starter supply of logs more than lasted the two nights we stayed and really provided a relaxing break.
