With the spectacular Exmoor National Park and the beautiful Brendon Hills on the doorstep, this spacious cottage, on one level, is an ideal location for keen walkers, cyclists and nature-lovers. You will also be perfectly placed for exploring the stunning Quantock Hills and the West Somerset and North Devon coastline. There are plenty of attractions to keep the whole family entertained, including Wimbleball Lake with its water sports, Dunster Castle, Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole. Step back in time and board a steam train on the West Somerset Railway that takes you through the beautiful Somerset countryside. You could head to the coast and enjoy seaside resorts including Minehead, Watchet and Brean Sands with their year-round dog-friendly sandy beaches. This really is the perfect spot to explore the very best of both Somerset and North Devon.

On entering this welcoming single-story property through the stunning glass doorway, you will find yourself in the tastefully furnished and welcoming lounge/diner. With comfortable seating, a Smart TV and DVD player, and a cosy wood burner, the light and inviting lounge is an ideal space to unwind in at the end of a wonderful day. There is also a delightful dining area, and the fully equipped, open plan kitchen offers an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge with ice compartment. The washing machine and clothes airer are housed in a utility room which is shared with the other on-site properties. Exploring this beautiful ground-floor property further you will find two comfortable bedrooms. There’s a comfy king-size room and a cosy twin room. You will also find a bathroom complete with bath, separate shower unit and WC.

Stepping outside, you can relax on the enclosed patio with seating and enjoy the peace of your surroundings in your private and secure garden. A selection of outdoor games and a BBQ are available on request. You are also invited to share and explore the 6 acres of surrounding land which are sometimes home to cows and sheep. There is a dedicated dog wash area for those muddy/beach walks and if the 3.5 acre paddock is free of sheep, then this is the perfect spot to let your dog get some exercise, right outside the property. Please note there are two external steps to the entrance of the property that may affect those with disabilities/limited mobility.

One of, if not the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in, clean, warm and really quiet, in an ideal location, would recommend it to friends and family.

Lovely cottage set a in a beautiful rural location. Equipped with everything you need. Exceptionally clean and comfortable Gemma and Spencer are excellent hosts. We would definitely recommend this cottage to friends and family and we will hopefully return.

Great hosts of a very comfortable property. Ideal location for dog walks on Exmoor and nearby beaches. Cosy log burner a plus in cold weather. Farmers Market not far with great local produce.

A lovely cottage - one of four - set in beautiful grounds and surrounding countryside. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. A peaceful retreat from the busy coastal roads! New owners very welcoming and helpful.

The stay was wonderful. You find a special place, far away from stress and hectic, in the middle of a wonderful landscape. If you are looking for this and not the proximity of a town with shops, pubs etc, then this is the place for you. We loved it. Really enjoyed our stay at Hillside Cottage. The cottage was lovely and very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and well equipped. The owner was very friendly and at hand if needed. Beautiful grounds and walks. Would definitely recommend it.

Lovely cottage in a really quiet location. Quite central for the area with good roads in all directions. Easy to find using provided post code on sat-nav. Plenty of room in cottage and in grounds to walk a dog. Cleanliness first class. Local pubs good for meals.

Beautiful location & a great base for visiting local beaches, Dunster & Minehead. Cottage is stunning, clean & well equipped. Lovely conversion. Although there are 4 properties all face different directions, so you actually feel detached! No noise from other properties. Good quality fixtures & fittings. Heat & hot water perfect. Grounds well maintained. Easy journeys to get to walks & nearest coast & National Trust properties. We had a great time, warm, cosy and the barn has all the facilities you need. The host was fab and spoke with us on arrival. The location is great, on top of the Exmoor National Park and close to the sea. Dog friendly which was perfect for our golden retriever. Thank you, super stay.

Really enjoyed our stay, the cottage is one of the best we have stayed in. Decor - clean, modern and bright with great attention to detail. Just enjoyed a lovely relaxing stay at Hillside. The property is very comfortable and well presented and equipped. Lovely, well equipped property. Nice log burner well stocked with firewood. Plenty of space for us and 2 dogs. Nice walking around the pond even in January. Close to coast and Exmoor.

Absolutely loved the cottage - 1 of the nicest Ive stayed in. Courtyard is totally enclosed so was very safe for my 2 small dogs & they loved exploring round the pound. No phone signal but Wifi worked really well so not a problem for me. Would definitely return if I head that way again.

Highly recommended, owners in site but leave you to enjoy their superb cottages and surrounding grounds. Very well sited for access to all of Somerset and minutes from nearest beach.. we loved it, a week was not long enough so we'll have to go back..

This is a beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Inside is spotlessly clean and the interior is decorated stylishly and to a high standard. We felt very comfortable there and there was plenty of space for 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a dog. Beautiful little cottage in the heart of Exmoor on a small but immaculate little farm . Very clean and modern and had everything we needed. Having stayed in many of these properties down the years we can confidently say this is probably the best of the lot. Its a lovely characterful well equipped property set in an attractive gardens with a pond. There are varied fantastic places to visit and some great places to eat. For us the weather was pretty good which enhanced our trip. The owneRead morers were discreet but we knew they were there if needed, which personally we like. Lovely, clean cottage in a fabulous secluded spot yet not far from towns & villages. On arrival I thought the decoration & space much more attractive than in the photos! Our dogs loved the quiet & fresh air- as did we! Well equipped & would definitely reccomend.
