What a lovely little find. So quiet, small field right by the property we were able to walk the dogs over as had just been cut. Little garden with a pond behind so woke to the sound of ducks and sheep. We were visited a couple of times but the black Labrador who lives close by (the garden wall was no challenge for him!) but he was friendly and justRead more came to say hello. Two great pubs - the Ship is very dog friendly, but it is quite a walk back up the lane to the property! Hide

We had a lovely stay here. The owner was away when we arrived, but gave instructions on how to access the property. Came to check all was OK when we returned to the cottage the following day. Generally peaceful, although we didn't spend much time there during the day. Lacked some of the little extras we've had at other properties, but had all that Read morewas necessary. Easy access to A38 and we went to both Plymouth and Torbay. Hide

We had a wonderful holiday. The cottage is really lovely, i a beautiful location. Everything is a short driveaway. Had some wonderful meals in The Ship Inn. A bit pricey, but worth it. 2 main meals, 2 soft drinks, 2 desserts and 2 coffees for 65 which is quite reasonable. The cottage was so comfortable with every utensil one would need. It was spotRead morelessly clean with lovely bed linen. Would definitely recommend this cottage. Hide

Chris the owner was friendly and.informative always on hand if you required help or additional information. The lodge was comfortable and well equipped and met all our needs, with a small pond and a resident moorhen as an outlook whilst enjoying a glass of wine in the garden of an evening. The cottage is situated beautifully in the foothills of the Dartmoor, with the gorgeous village of Ugborough at walking distance. The owners are super super friendly and even cut a path through the fields to walk and train the dog. The cottage itself was nice, cosy and clean. The fenced private garden is a bonus.
