This property is located on a working sheep farm in the picturesque Devonshire countryside, within walking distance to two lovely country pubs, which make the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal, or cosy up with a pint. Dartmoor is just a short distance away, offering scenic walks, cycling routes, horse riding, and bouldering. Twelve miles south of the property, the village of Bigbury-on-Sea has a beautiful sandy beach, with access across to Burgh Island at low tide, either on foot or by sea tractor. Within a thirty-minute drive of the property, the historic city of Plymouth offers boat trips, the National Marine Aquarium, and the waterfront Barbican district with its Mayflower Museum, arts centre, and a choice of pubs and restaurants.
Guests entering this attractive, single-storey property, will find themselves in the light-filled open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where a cosy wood burner keeps the lodge lovely and warm, even in the coolest winter months. The sofa makes a comfortable place to relax, and perhaps enjoy a film on the TV/DVD. The kitchen area is located at one end of the room, beyond the wooden dining table, and is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, and washer/dryer. A curtained doorway leads to the pretty bedroom with a beamed ceiling, and double bed. The wet room, which is located beyond the bedroom, offers a shower and WC.
Outside, there is an attractive patio garden with seating and a BBQ, to the front of the property, with stunning countryside views. Guests should note that there is a small pond next to the patio, so caution should be exercised with any dogs.
