Situated close to the various amenities of Matlock, including a railway station that makes the property easily accessible by both road and rail, the property is a great base for making the most of the surrounding countryside. The hillside position of the property offers outstanding views across the Derwent Valley. Set against the back drop of Jughole Woods, the property is just a short drive from the pretty market town of Bakewell with its many shops and cafes that offers a great place for a gentle stroll. The bathroom contains a walk-in shower, hand basin and toilet. Steps lead through to the open-plan living space, with a kitchen that is fully equipped with all the essentials. The cosy lounge area provides a lovely space for relaxing and watching TV. The inverted set up of the property makes the most of the spectacular views, and the windows in the living space perfectly frame the vistas of the surrounding landscape.

A lovely location with great views. A comfortable, clean property. A long rough track up to the property. Cows adorable but often on the track and patience was required as they refused to move on occasions and we did not want to hurt them. There may be a knack! We loved our stay here at this great cottage which was beautifully clean and equipped with everything you need to properly self-cater. One thing to be aware of; it is up a very steep hill so the short walk into town is a rather tiring one back!! Worth it for the peace and lovely views (including great sunsets). Hosts are great too.

A very well appointed cottage with stunning views across the Derbyshire countryside. Extremely comfortable bed. The location was ideal for us as we were visiting family in Cromford. Also ideal for visits to places such as Bakewell and Chatsworth. Would certainly consider a return in the future.
