Just a short drive away is the market town of Saffron Walden with its wide selection of independent shops, Audley End House and Gardens with its miniature railway is a great family day out and a little further afield is the beautiful city of Cambridge famed for its architecture and majestic college buildings. For those who like the great outdoors, there are some great local walks which can be finished with a stop at the local pub, which is the birthplace of Dick Turpin, for a spot of refreshment.
