This charming property is located in the picturesque hamlet of Bilton, with the lovely coastal town of Alnmouth just a 25 minute walk away. Alnmouth offers a choice of great restaurants, cafes and gift shops, and has a beautiful golden beach. Just a few miles away is the vibrant market town of Alnwick, home of the historic Alnwick Castle and the celebrated Alnwick Garden. National Cycle Route 1 runs through the area and there are many popular seaside villages to explore including Bamburgh, Seahouses, Beadnell, Warkworth, Newton-by-the-Sea, Craster, Amble and Howick. You can also enjoy boat trips out to see the birdlife on Coquet Island or the Farne Islands, or visit the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. The new Greenrig halt of the Aln Valley Railway is just a mile from the cottage and can be accessed by a short walk/ cycle ride along a scenic country lane, which also continues into Alnwick

On entering this attractive and snug single-level ground-floor holiday home, you will find yourself in the spacious and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom. With plenty of comfy seating, Smart TV, DVD, a traditional wood burner and fantastic views over the River Aln Valley, the cosy and inviting lounge is a perfect space for relaxing in at the end of a fantastic day exploring the glorious Northumberland countryside. You will also find a charming dining area, and the attractively designed kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, hob, under counter fridge and microwave. The property features a cosy double wall bed with a full thickness sprung interior mattress. You will also find a shower room complete with a double shower and WC.

There is a lovely south facing private patio area with outdoor furniture, where you can unwind and dine alfresco.

The cottage was perfect we loved our stay, it had everything we needed, you have thought of everything. Your instructions were very clear regarding bins etc. The view was outstanding I could've sat in the window all day. The bed was very comfortable & we loved the duvet so much we called at ikea and bought one. Thank you for a lovely stay

Fantastic November stay at The Summerhouse. It's a lovely ,compact, cosy and comfortable place to relax in and explore the stunning area. The walk to Alnmouth is pleasant and has everything you might need in the deli. If not Lesbury community shop is a must. The pubs and dog walking in the wider area is just superb. With stunning views, this compact and cosy cottage is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area of Northumbria. The cottage was clean and well equipped with level access. We really enjoyed our stay here.

We had a great stay at the Summerhouse. Able to access all we needed on the tv. The parking took a bit of getting used to but was not a problem for our SUV. The bed and seating accommodation was comfortable and the shower was great. Managed to walk most of the costal park from Alnwick to Embleton bay over the week.Beautiful uncrowded beaches and loRead morets of places where dogs were welcome. View from the window is stunning! The cottage is small but had everything that we needed and a stunning view. It is not possible to walk the dogs in the fields but Alnmouth beach is only half an hours walk away and minutes by car. The bed is small but comfortable and folds away easlily. We had a great stay in this beautiful part of the world and will definitely return.

The cottage was a good choice for us as a couple with a dog, we needed the enclosed outside space. It was compact but comfortable and the view was lovely. Outside the patio was a sun trap and perfect to sit reading a book as it was very quiet and peaceful. A short walk from the railway station, and Alnmouth was walkable.

Summerhouse is in a lovely location with fabulous views from the studio room. Well equipped, apart from not having a toaster. Shower room is very smart. Being used to a king-sized bed, we found the bed a little small but easy to fold down/fold away. The lane for the cottages and the parking are a bit tight, but not too much of a problem. The cottage is really beautiful, for health and safety reasons the small step around the doormat where you walk in should be hi lighted, I am 76 and walk with 2 sticks and tripped on the small step 1st time we arrived.

We had a wonderful 6 days at The Summerhouse , the weather was very mixed but that didn't spoil anything as the view from the window was beautiful our 2 westies had a fab time too. So much to see and there is nowhere else like the Northumberland Coast .

Beautiful little cottage. Ideal location which enabled us to visit lots of different coastal spots. The views from the cottage is amazing everything you need for a few days away, we had lots of beach walks with our dog and afternoon siestas in frount of the log fire

As above. 2nd time I have stayed at The Summerhouse. It's lovely and cosy, comfortable and has all you need for a lovely stay. The location is very good for driving around or walking the coastal paths or into Alnmouth. Beautiful countryside and beaches and friendly people, such a nice change from Birmingham.

A lovely, bijou cottage with fabulous views. A short walk into Alnmouth and to the main line station make it ideally located. Some lovely walks along the river and round the quiet roads near the cottage. We were lucky enough to catch the train turning on the Aln Valley Heritage railway, a short walk away. Very exciting. A very quiet location.

This was our 3rd visit to the lovely little cottage and we had a great time once again. Comfortable, cosy and we enjoyed our holiday. A day trip to Edinburgh Christmas shopping from alnmouth train station which is 3/4 minutes walk. Wallington national trust house and garden was also a great day dispite the rain.

The cottage was a lovely place to stop for a week with wonderful views out of the back windows. Some reviews stated that the parking was very tight in front of the cottage which concerned me as I was arriving in a VW Transporter van, but I had no problems as long as you reverse in. The panoramic view sells this studio. We had great weather all week so only really used it as a base. We found the parking fine with plenty of room to maneuver. Fully equipped and clean. Lovely peaceful little cottage with incredible views, enjoyed watching the sheep, cows and horses also the trains and beautiful sunsets. Nice enclosed yard for our dogs and us for al fresco eating. It was really lovely and if it was closer we would stay there again. On the minus side, we did not find any lead free dog walks without having to get the car out as there were cattle and sheep in the fields. And no toaster. It is very tastefully decorated and the view is amazing. Thank you.

The most perfectly situated cottage for wildlife lovers. Could spend all day looking out of the picture window at the birds, deer, hares etc. Stayed here several times and hope to return.

The Summerhouse is ideal for a couple and their dog! In terms of location it was perfect - gorgeous views over the valley and only a ten minute drive into Alnmouth and Alnwick. There was plenty of space for the three of us - it gave us room to settle in comfortably without ferling we were rattling around. Perfect little bolt hole. Very clean and comfortable. As warm as you like it by either using the wall heaters or the log burner.
