    Cartmel is home to an impressive 12th century priory as well as its own racecourse which hosts a range of events throughout the year and plenty of places to eat and drink to suit everyone. Set out on foot to one of the many walking routes in the area, which take in Hampsfell and Eggerslack Wood or take a short drive to Ambleside, Grasmere, Coniston or Ulverston, this is a perfect base to explore some of the hidden treasures of the Lake District. Or why not rest your feet and hop on the Lake Windermere steamer, which winds its way for ten miles into the central fells, passing Bowness and Sawrey along the way.

    Enter through the front door of this pretty cottage into the luxurious and comfy open-plan lounge/kitchen area.  Here you can snuggle down to watch you favourite film on the Smart TV in front of the flame effect electric fire on chillier evenings or read a book in the peaceful surroundings.  The bespoke kitchen is on hand within the same area and is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Here you can enjoy romantic meals on the spacious breakfast bar over looking glorious views from the Bi-fold doors and plan the following day.. Heading upstairs you will find two beautiful bedrooms, one a spacious king-size and the other a double both with Smart TVs, and a state-of-the-art bathroom with designer bath and separate shower.

    Heading outside you can enjoy the stunning views from the slate floored enclosed patio with garden furniture and gas BBQ. Perfect for those warm summer evenings. There is on street parking, with a parking permit available for one car.

    We would strongly recommend this cottage. It's in the ideal location at the heart of Cartmel, and literally a stone's throw from a shop, deli and excellent pub. We found it very comfortable and dog friendly.

    The cottage was beautifully fitted out and it met our needs. The location was perfect. A very generous and exciting welcome pack was appreciated and it made a personal touch. Would definitely recommend and use again.

    Great comfortable place with a good location Would definitely visit again. Lovely walks from the centre of Cartmel and great pubs and cafs. The garden was a lovely addition as the field behind the garden was full of new lambs.

    Very clean and thoughtfully equipped cottage. Well situated within Cartmel, a short walk from the Priory, restaurants, pubs and shops. Arrangements all went smoothly. Would stay again and recommend to others.

    This is a lovely, well appointed and located cottage. We were 3 adults and it was just right. With 4 people, the space for eating on the kitchen island would be a little tight. Lots of good walks directly from the cottage and pubs for dinner in the village if you dont fancy cooking. Highly recommended and Steve was very friendly and helpful.

    Clean comfortable cottage in good location. On street parking with permit meant sometimes not able to park near to the house. Owner helpful with information.
