Beautiful cottage with amazing view of the bay. Very close to all the amenities and central for visiting other places. A great walk down to village but the hill walk back was too hard, fortunately plenty of car parking available.

Beautifully equipped and had everything we needed. Had an issue with the heating, but it was a simple fix the owner talked me through in minutes. Very quick response to my questions. Location was great for our Valiversary walk in Hawkshead. We would definitely visit here again.

We had a lovely stay at Poppys Nook. The wood burner certainly was one item in the cottage that was used a lot, with logs available in the local area. There are local shops nearby, 10-15 mins walk down the hill, expect a slower walk back unless you're very fit. Great views though. Poppys Nook is a great location, with Windermere about 20-25 mins drRead moreive. Cartmel is approx 10 mins and is a must to visit too. There are also lots of beautiful walking areas, and everywhere is very pet friendly. Hide

Quirky cottage full of character. Kitchen very well equipped. Comfortable beds. Very easy heating system ( it was very cold when we arrived so had to turn heating on) Parking is on a busy road outside the property.

A lovely terraced cottage thoughtfully upgraded and furnished with quality materials. You get the impression that the owner wanted to impress and they did. Modern kitchen and bathroom, again full of solid and quality fittings. A lovely place to relax but a good centre for the Lakes. Nowhere is more than an hour away including Lancaster and MorecambRead moree. Good view of the bay. Watch the tides come and go. Lovely and I am sure we will return. Thank you. Hide

Absolutely beautiful cottage, and I cannot fault it in anyway. Everything you need for a quality break is there, even down to dog bowls. The village itself is peaceful and has lovely surroundings. The cottage is clean and decorated neutrally throughout. It's well stocked and very comfortable. It's a bit of a walk down into Grange but otherwise the location is good to get to Cartmel (well worth a visit), Holker Hall and general walks in the area.
