Set above Westward Ho! beach, on a family run, 60 acre, privately owned cliff-top estate, you’ll find this collection of beautifully thought-out cottages with incredible sea-views and rolling North Devon countryside surrounding you. Spacious cottages for families and intimate retreats for couples, the location provides a wonderful place to explore, relax and make holiday memories that will last forever. There is a range of facilities here for you to enjoy and all designed for your relaxation. From a play barn for the children and animals to pet and eggs to collect from the chickens to a Scandinavian BBQ hut for dining with amazing sunset views. A rustic barn opens its bar on warm summer nights and the star gazing here is some of the best in the county. Each cottage has private access through the grounds to the South West Coast Path and down onto Westward Ho! beach. Perfect for leaving the car behind and feeling the sand between your toes. Westward Ho! is a pretty village set in an Area of  Outstanding Natural Beauty and close by to the fishing villages of Appledore and Instow. Here you will find plenty to keep you amused and busy, from the ancient villages to secret coves and golden beaches. The local surf school offers lessons and wetsuit hire and the Tarka Trail is a traffic free cycle path taking in many beautiful sights. Amusement arcades, bespoke shops and cafés, crazy golf and restaurants, even the oldest link course in the country to try your hand, at The Royal North Devon Golf Club.

Step inside this impressive property and you will immediately find yourself in a beautifully spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a wood burner effect gas fire and bi-folding doors leading to outside. Here lavish sofas sit in front of a Smart TV, and there is also a Bluetooth stereo with iPod dock meaning that you can listen to your favourite music while enjoying an intimate meal. The kitchen area is also fantastically appointed and boasts an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, wine cooler, dishwasher and washing machine. Completing the offering on the ground floor is an additional WC with a drying area. Venturing up the stairs and onto the first floor, further highlights await in the shape of a huge boudoir style super-king-size bedroom with TV/DVD, and bi-folding doors to a spacious balcony with two person hot tub and seating. A beautiful illuminated roll-top bath and a separate shower is situated in the bedroom, and finally a separate WC is located to the side of this.

Heading outside and located to the rear and sea-facing side of the property, you will find a delightful enclosed garden with lawn area, patio, garden furniture and a gas BBQ, and this provides a perfect place to relax after a day exploring. Further to this you can explore the extensive grounds which lead directly to the sea or enjoy the on-site facilities which include a play barn and indoor heated plunge pool. Properly was very nice lovely views but if you go late September don't expect bar area and games room to be usable. On the plus side hot tub lovely, bedroom and bathroom lovely. If you have a dog if it rains garden full of slugs.

What a gem of a place! Truly special, great quality facilities, well organised, nice welcoming touches and amazing views. Nice walk into town via the coastal path. A great place for peace and tranquility. Would absolutely recommend and go back to.

A lovely cottage with really welcoming owners who made this a lovely break. Gorgeous views, lovely living and cooking area and great access to coastal footpath. Highly recommend to those wanting a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

We had a lovely week staying in Kala's Cottage. The cottage was very cosy and comfortable with everything we needed and plenty of space. The scones and dog treats from Raffles on arrival were a really nice touch and we are missing the views already. We're looking forward to coming back!

At 943 for 3 nights in November, the finishing touches do not meet the luxury description. Holes are filled but not finished, walls are marked, the kitchen equipment is supermarket brand. The hot tub and enclosed area are unusable in bad weather due to the prevailing wind direction driving in the rain. The property is nice, but overpriced. The onliRead morene guestbook contains useful information. The local pubs are nice and there are 2 convenience stores in the village about 20 minutes walk. Hide

An amazing holiday cottage, and perfect for the two of us plus the dog. The view was incredible, especially from the hot tub on the balcony. The location was superb with easy access to Westward Ho! and beyond. Wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend and loved our stay here.

Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. So peaceful and the horses and wildlife were wonderful. Facilities in the cottage were excellent would definitely come here again.

Couldn't fault the cottage it was spotlessly clean, underfloor heating is amazing. It is beautifully decorated - the view out to sea is amazing, if you're lucky too see the sunset - it is just WOW! Everything you need from a self catering accommodation this is it.
