Further afield is the the famous World Heritage Jurassic coastline where you can go fossil hunting on the beautiful beach at Charmouth, visit famous Lyme Regis or turn back inland towards Montacute House, Forde Abbey and Gardens, Ferne Animal Sanctuary and the Axe Valley Wildlife Park

Dine in here at the table by the TV/DVD whilst planning your next day’s activities, or open up the French doors to the raised terrace. Heading up to the first floor you will find the light, bright, lounge with vaulted ceiling and five windows with those views to the far hills and where you can sit and relax or watch a film on the TV/DVD. Outside, the patio area with its fig tree, mimosa, and roses leads down to the fully enclosed garden via a gradual slope with handrail. A walk across the lawn to the end of the garden leads you to an enchanting secluded area, which floods with morning sunshine in clement weather and is perfect for sitting and drinking your early morning coffee. Leave the garden here and walk a little further through the cowslip field to a wildlife pond with resident moorhen family, visiting egrets and overhead starling murmurations in autumn. There is also an external warm wash point for cleaning off muddy paws.
