Located on the outskirts of Lytham St Annes, known for its bistros, shops, festivals and golf courses, this converted barn is nestled away at the back of the owner’s property. The cottage itself is only a short distance to Blackpool’s centre with its Pleasure Beach, Zoo, Grand Theatre and Winter Gardens, there really is something to cater for everyone. With easy access to Preston, Lancaster, the Forest of Bowland, Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and Morecambe Bay, making this a perfect base to explore the surrounding area. There is also plenty on offer from restaurants and bars to some retail therapy in the abundance of shops.

Wandering up the drive past the owner’s property, where privacy is assured, you will arrive at the grand barn. Walking into the property you will enter the spacious kitchen/diner with its grand ceilings and contemporary styling. The well thought out kitchen space offers everything you need to cook up a romantic meal for two with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave.  The dining table is the perfect scene for a candlelit meal before you head upstairs to watch a film on the Smart TV.  The kitchen leads into the warm cosy snug space,  where you will find a sofa to relax and unwind after a long day at the beach or to read your favourite book. Onward to the first floor, you will find a bright hallway with the double bedroom on the left. Along the corridor you will come to the modern shower room with shower and WC. Finally, the large lounge area is located at the end of the hallway.  Here you will find large comfortable sofas, one of which becomes a sofa bed (on request only) when needed and a Smart TV.

To the side of the property is an open garden with established trees and flower beds, garden furniture and a BBQ, for those wishing to dine alfresco. There is also off-road parking adjacent to the property.

Everything about our stay was brilliant. The Barn was very homely and modern and Deborah was very friendly and helpful. The fact that our dog was free to roam securly around the garden was important to us. I would recommend anyone to stay here and location of it was fabulous to go to alot of places.

We have just come home after a lovely weekend in The Barn. Everything was excellent from the moment we arrived. This is a beautiful, modern property. We had a comfortable and relaxing few days. Our 2 dogs were also made feel very welcome. Our host lives close by but was never intrusive. She was very friendly & helpful the few times we did bump intoRead more each other. If you want to stay in a beautiful quiet location but within easy access to Blackpool and Lytham Saint Anne's then this is the place for you lovely walks freindly people and so very clean the accommodation is well presented and set in lovely grounds and you will be welcomed by a lovely family. I would highly recommend.

The Barn at Fernlea is a great conversion and has every facility we needed. It's in a very quiet situation which is also close to all areas of Lytham, St Anne's and Blackpool.

Had a wonderful stay at the barn. Deb was lovely always on hand if needed. Home from home for sure very comfortable and everything you need. Lovely quiet location with a 2.5 mile walk to the beach Blackpool not far away. Will defo be booking again loved our holiday with the dog.
