Situated in a peaceful location on a family run working farm, close to the picturesque village of Abernyte. Just a short walk to the fantastic Scottish Antique & Arts centre with licensed bistro style restaurant serving breakfast, brunch and lunch. The immediate area offers excellent walking, biking and hiking routes and fishermen can enjoy the nearby River Tay, famous for some of the finest trout and salmon fishing in the UK. Golfers are also spoilt for choice with Carnoustie, St Andrews and Gleneagles, all a short drive away. Visit amazing nearby attractions including Camperdown Wildlife Centre, Glamis Castle and Scone Palace. The cities of Dundee, with V&A Museum, and Perth are within easy touring distance with their excellent range of attractions, leisure and shopping facilities.

Venturing down a flight of stairs from the garden, stepping inside this luxurious property from the fantastic double French doors, into the wonderful stylish open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area is the perfect place to relax with comfy sofa, Smart TV perfect for watching a great movie, Bluetooth docking station, ideal for listening to your favourite music, or enjoy cosy nights in front of the roaring wood burner, after a day out exploring this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The well-equipped bespoke kitchen is perfect to cook up a storm with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, wine cooler, coffee machine and a handy dishwasher and washing machine, there is also an island with seating area to keep the chef entertained. The comfortable dining area is the perfect place to enjoy romantic meals together, enjoying lovely views over the surrounding gardens. From the lounge you are then met with the luxurious super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as a twin on request) bedroom with Smart TV and a fantastic Jack and Jill en-suite bathroom, with freestanding bath, twin sinks, separate shower, with rainfall shower and WC. There is also access to the bathroom from the kitchen area.

Venturing outside you will find the private wood-fired hot tub with lovely woodland and garden views. Enjoy al fresco dining with seating and BBQ, on the large patio area, or just relax perhaps with a good local ale or a nice glass of wine. On-site you can drop off the dogs at the doggy day care and enjoy visiting the local attractions. There is private off-road parking available for two cars.

The cottage was stunning in a lovely location for all our needs as we have family in Aviemore so made a surprise visit to the on one day and visited Edinburgh on a different. We would highly recommend the lodge to others .

We had a fantastic stay at Bluebell (Fern Lodge). The hamper on arrival was lovely & filled with special treats for us and our dog! The accommodation was clean & comfortable with everything we needed. Quiet location which was perfect for us. Janice was a very welcoming host. We would love to stay again.

Beautiful and comfortable lodge, in a quiet place. Hot tube appreciable even if evening is cold. Ideal place to move in different directions in highland. We strongly recommend this location.

Fern Lodge is extremely well equipped, secluded and located on the cleanest, prettiest farm. The hot tub is great. The owners are very helpful and. Everything is well explained. Great visit in the most beautiful surroundings.

We stayed in Fern Lodge. Very clean. Very private. Lovely welcome basket. Very comfortable indeed. The owner Janice was extremely helpful and friendly. The hot tub is fabulous but read the instructions otherwise it can get too hot. Overall a wonderful and well appointed place to stay.

Very warm, comfortable and relaxing cottage with a welcoming host. The hot tub did indeed take a while to get going, but achieved a very comfortable temperature for a relaxing wallow, and was very quiet and private too.

The lodge was spotlessly clean and had everything needed for a lovely few nights away. Its very well decorated and the bathroom is luxurious. The hot tub was well used and easy to keep hot once it was started! An additional thermometer would be good to help regulate the temperature and maybe access to a hose in case its to hot. We spent a very cosy and comfortable couple of days at the cottage. The cottage was well-equipped, quiet and we received a warm welcome from the lovely hostess. High points were the log burner and the eco hot tub (once you got it going!) We would definitely visit again!

This is superbly located if you like farms & countryside. We found it a great place to relax and also as a base to explore nearby towns and historical sites. A great plus is the Scottish Antiques & Arts Centre, just a few minutes walk from the cottage. They serve amazing food and, as guests at the Lodge, you get a 10% discount. The kitchen at the cRead moreottage is well equipped with a decent sized freezer as well. We didn't have time to try the hot tub but it's in a lovely secluded place if you do. Hide

Everything about the short stay was perfect. The lodge was stunning and had everything you could need the basket of goodies on arrival was lovely and the home made jam in the fridge delicious. I had a lovely relaxing spa day in the beautiful spacious bathroom. Just perfect. On the last night we decided that we give the hot tub a go but not a succesRead mores for us it took over 3 hours before the water was warm on the top but it was cold underneath gave it a stir but decided not to bother.
