This spacious and contemporary apartment is situated near to the estuary in Brightlingsea, providing everything you’d want in a holiday retreat. Offering the perfect place to get away from it all by enjoying a spot of lunch in the local cafe on the harbour, where you can sit and watch the comings and goings of all the boats. The property is ideally placed to explore the Essex coast and countryside, from quaint seaside villages to thriving market towns, Essex has something for all. Local National Trust properties include Paycocke’s House and Gardens at Coggeshall and Bourne Mill at Colchester. Other attractions nearby include The Beth Chatto Gardens, Colchester Zoo and the Colne Valley Railway at Sible Hedingham.

As you enter this apartment, you arrive in the hallway on the ground floor which is also a utility room housing a washer/dryer and a little welcome pack for your dog. Head up the stairs to the first floor, you will find the master double bedroom on your right, which has plenty of storage for your belongings in the wardrobe and chest of drawers. The bathroom is opposite and has a bath with shower over and WC. The kitchen is next along and is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine. The open-plan lounge/diner completes the property. There is a dining table and four chairs perfect should you wish to have breakfast, lunch or dinner, and the lounge area with a love chair and armchair and a Smart TV, the perfect spot to relax.

There is a balcony off the lounge area, which provides a lovely outdoor area for you to relax and unwind. There is a table and two chairs should you wish to enjoy some al fresco dining outside. There is secured allocated parking for one car.

Great stay at the Salty Dog. This place is an excellent base for visiting the local area and it has easy access to local shops and restaurants if you don't want to use the car. The apartment is well equipped and has everything you need. Always very clean and tidy when you first arrive and the welcome pack is a great addition if you arrive late.

The cottage is in an excellent location both for town and lido etc. It can be a bit noisy with traffic early morning but its quiet at night. Locals all very friendly and pubs welcoming too. Lots of walks and lots to see for a relaxing stay.Very good museum,Frinton good for day out and Clacton outlet for shopping. Owners rang to say cottage was readRead morey early which was appreciated. Our second stay here and would return. Hide

The property was beautifully clean and tidy with all the amenities you'd need. The welcome pack was a nice touch. This is our second visit to this property and it was as good as the first. We hope to return later in the year.

We had a great weekend in this apartment easy to find great parking all amenities in close range lots to do in this area Great time was had with dog with us Puds and Restaurants all good and shopping for food all in the town

This is an absolutely super apartment. The owners have made it very relaxed, welcoming and well equipped. The welcome packs for both people and dog are lovely. It very much feels that they really want guests to have a super stay. Plus the appliances are easy to use- always a bonus. Thank you.

Honestly, it was the best long weekend away we have enjoyed in a long time. Our dog Max loved the seaside walks of a morning and was able to find comfort straight away. We all had a brilliant weekend, shops only a 10 minute walk away (there are over 3 shops to choose from with everything you could need). We shopped at the local green grocery for ouRead morer fruit and veg. Yachtsman's arms is a must! Make sure to book with a dog! 5* service and amazing food! We will be back x Hide

The apartment is lovely and light, well decorated with lots of soft furnishings. Good to have parking. Can be quite noisy from the HGVs and cars using the road outside. Ideally placed for the harbour - only a couple of minutes walk.

We had a lovely week at Salty dog. The apartment is very well equipped and totally dog friendly. There a are lots of great walks from the front door and dog friendly pubs and eateries. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet holiday by the sea.

A perfect one bed with its own parking space. Brightlingsea takes me back to my childhood days of the 1950s. Great pub just around the corner serving good food and dog friendly, as is the apartment. Thoroughly recommend Salty dog. Will be back sometime for a third stay.

We enjoyed a very relaxing week at this compact, well equipped and clean apartment which has a calming flow and lovely balcony which catches the sun in the mornings. Nicely positioned for the beach as well as local amenities including grocery shops, take aways, pub etc. Hope to return later in the year.

Very clean and tastefully decorated . The stairs were a bit of a challenge for our old dog (13years) but she managed with our help. Nice location with great pubs(dog friendly) within walking distance and good places to eat.
