The shore of Loch Ness lies at the bottom of this 20-acre estate, and the apartment is just a short walk into the village of Fort Augustus and the Caledonian Canal with its magnificent locks, which is a popular tourist destination for outdoor enthusiasts that enjoy water sports, cycling and walking. Fort William is 31 miles away, and is renowned for being an ‘all year round’ destination; water sports in the summer and skiing in the hills during the winter months.
Entrance to the apartment on the ground level with its own entrance door, meaning it is well suited for guests with limited mobility. The lounge/kitchen/dining area is open-plan, making it a very sociable space to spend your time in. The comfortable sofas have been arranged around a Smart TV. The kitchen is compact in size but includes an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The dining area is situated between the kitchen and lounge space and has seating for six people. The master king-size bedroom is of ample size and has been tastefully decorated and furnished to a good standard and has a TV. There is an en-suite bathroom with a bath, separate shower and WC. The second double bedroom is of ample size and has also been nicely decorated throughout. The bathroom is located between the double bedroom and lounge/kitchen/diner and has a shower over bath and WC.
The property entrance leads out to a small courtyard area which leads out to the lawned garden beside the Loch Ness shoreline. There is ample residents parking within the vicinity. Guests have shared use of the Highland Club, Club Lounge located in another part of the building, along a 10 meter heated indoor swimming pool ('Chapel Pool') located in the Pugin designed Chapel, a steam room, sauna and small gym. Within the grounds of the estate, you will also find a cricket pitch, an outdoor chess board, tennis court and a children’s adventure playground, so there is plenty to do at the apartment itself. Also, on site is a restaurant which serves a traditional Scottish menu with a Mediterranean flair.
