Situated within easy walking distance of the village of Mellor, this delightful cottage is perfectly placed to visit some of the most well-known places in Lancashire. Mellor itself offers a traditional village pub, local shop, church and library. Positioned in the timeless landscape of rural Lancashire, the area is relatively undiscovered but is fast becoming known for its culinary delights with range of popular eateries and gastro pubs nearby. For a cultural experience, explore the two historic market towns of Clitheroe and Longridge, brimming with electric boutiques, fine restaurants and historic treasures. For the adventurous, walk part of the 70 mile Ribble Way, taking in the magnificent unspoilt views. Other local places of interest include Clitheroe Castle, Bowland Wild Boar Park and Browsholme Hall. Further afield, trips to Blackpool, the Lake District or the Yorkshire Dales are a must.

Step into the property and you will be welcomed into the modern kitchen which is well equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge/freezer. Moving through the property, you will find yourself in the cosy lounge with comfy sofas to curl up into whilst you watch your favourite film in front of the fire. After a long day of seeing the local animals in the surrounding fields and exploring the local area, the stairs will lead you to the first floor where you can find the bedrooms. The first bedroom is a restful double bedroom with fantastic views across the Valley. The second bedroom is a spacious twin bedroom. Also on the first floor is the bathroom which benefits from a shower over the bath and WC.

At the front of the cottage, you will find the patio area with garden furniture which is a great place to enjoy your breakfast, a light lunch or lazy summer evening whilst admiring the amazing views. There is also another sitting area at the other side of the cottage which is enclosed and looks towards the fields, perfect to unwind in too.

  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

The view, the view, the view - it will take your breathe away. Owners live next door should you need anything. Tip: if you are coming from afar, remember your teabags/milk etc

Absolutely lovely cottage. Very welcoming, comfortable and just what we needed for us and our 3 dogs. Excellent location with plenty do see and do. Owners very friendly. Would highly recommend as the cottage is great as well as the scenery.
