We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Weighbridge Bothy - Balblair. It has a very inviting, cosy feel & is vey well equipped. The kingsize bed is extremely comfortable & TV reception is good, as is the wifi. Would recommend this to anyone wishing to tour the Highlands.

Not the most aesthetic from the outside but its in a very quiet and peaceful location with a lane down the back to give the dog a quick walk when needed. The inside is lovely and cosy with all the mod cons including good internet. The bed is lovely and comfortable and there is copious amounts of hot water for showers and Peter the owner gave a goodRead more warm welcome and is nearby if any issues. Located 20 mins to the east coast and beaches and about 45 miles to the West coast so a brilliant location Hide

I had this trip in mind for many years, as I do have some history with the area. I could not have picked a better location. My primary "goal" was to visit Carbisdale Castle, which is just a short distance over the water, and just 15 minutes by car. Not only did I accomplish this, I also (re)visited several very picturesque sites within 20 or so milRead morees, and was invited by the landlord to their dressage stables to see their operation first-hand. I was made very welcome, and really enjoyed my stay. Hide
