Comfortable get away in the heart of the fells. Just walk out the door and you have an amazing range of walking options.

The cottage was great! The location was truly amazing!! Peaceful,tranquil and the beautiful views from the cottage totaly awe inspiring!! Our favourite part of the lakes right from the front door of the cottage,how can you not fall in love with this magical place! We will be back to Ganny Soon! Julie & Steve.

The cottage was gorgeous and located in a rural and fairly remote area but not too far away from a local shop to get supplies. ( Eskdale) Stunning scenery just surrounded by mountains! The owners included an information pack which was super helpful , detailing local amenities , shops, Drs etc plus many walks which are accessible from the front doorRead more. Lovely cottage but the location really is remote - expect a 15min drive to get to the nearest pub. The good news is that pubs in Boot and Eskdale are all great. The cottage had everything we needed for a cozy week and a bit of walking in the hills but dont forget it does rain a lot in the Lake District! An absolutely breathtaking location and a lovely, cosy cottage. Very clean, very well appointed and the dog loved it too! We would absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants a break away from it all.

Absolutely loved every minute of our stay, so remote and peaceful it was blissful. Beautiful surroundings and scenery, exciting walks to Stanley Gyll waterfall and surrounding hills and mountains. Owner very helpful. Lovely remote location high up on Birker Fell, sunsets stunning, few degrees lower being up on the moors and windy. Track to get to cottage ok, just need to drive very slowly . A wonderful place to stay for those who love a beautiful 'away from it all' break. In the middle of high fells with great walks from the doorstep.can be windy so bring some warm clothes. Accommodation is basic but has everything you need including washer/dryer and dish washer.
