Nestled on a quiet lane in the small village of Waltham Chase, this charming holiday home was beautifully renovated in 2024 offering the perfect country escape.  Located on the edge of the South Downs National Park, within the grounds of a 15thC family home, The Bothy is an ideal base for exploring all that Hampshire has to offer: the medieval market town of Bishop's Waltham (2 miles) with its charming streets and impressive ruins of Bishops Waltham Palace; the charming village of Wickham (2.9 miles) with a selection of independent retailers, cafes, bars and restaurants; Southampton (12 miles) for some retail therapy.  For the rail enthusiasts, the Watercress Steam Railway is 13 miles and there are a number of local vineyards offering tours and tasting to wine lovers.  The surrounding countryside offers miles of scenic walking and cycling throughout the Meon Valley and the magnificent cathedral, historic buildings and vibrant market of Winchester just a short drive away (12.5 miles).

Beautifully renovated cottage with authentic elements kept in place. Warm atmosphere in a calm neighbourhood. Personal, yet discreet approach. Owners life on site. Lovely surroundings with plenty to discover.
