Based on the owner’s farm a mile outside the popular seaside resort of Abersoch, this single-storey cottage is an inviting destination for a couple or a family with a baby. The Abersoch area is well known for its fabulous beaches, including the sheltered main beach and dramatically beautiful Porth Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth – especially loved by surfers), and also has a variety of shops, pubs and places to eat. If you wish to venture further afield, the Llyn Peninsula offers some of the best scenery in Wales, as well as an array of beaches, bays and coves, water sports and wildlife spotting. It is 7 miles to Pwllheli, famous for its Wednesday market which has been running since the 14th century, and 12 miles to Glasfryn Parc, a wonderful North Wales activity centre.
All on one floor, the cottage has a lovely entrance hall that leads through to an open-plan lounge/diner, where the traditional slate hearth houses a modern, flame-effect electric fire. There’s a traditional, two-seater dining table and charming artwork and décor line the walls. The compact kitchen and the pretty bedroom both have windows that overlook the gardens, and there is also a charming shower room with a corner shower.
Outside, the private, gravelled patio area has comfortable outdoor seating and is a great spot to sit and admire the shared lawned garden and beautiful Welsh countryside. The garden is surrounded by a stone wall and there’s a BBQ available if you would like to cook and dine alfresco.
