Within five miles of Bala and the Snowdonia National Park, this property offers any couple a wonderfully peaceful getaway with adventure on the doorstep and nothing but comfort at home. Bala is situated in Penllyn, a beauty spot that’s been locally referred to as the Welsh Lake District. The Llyn Tegid (6 miles) is Wales’ largest natural lake and presents any visitor with the opportunity to sail, try out a water sport, embrace some wild swimming or catch a bite with an afternoon of fishing. Incredible walking routes are always within reach in the Welsh countryside, whether you’re hiking the Aran mountain range (within 20 miles) or simply enjoying easy-going routes including the Dee Valley Way or North Berwyn Way (6.5 miles). Those keen to get on their bike will also find this area awash with mountain biking options, including at the Llandegla Mountain Biking Centre (18.5 miles).

Our 4th year in a row staying here, Perfect location, Short drive to town, facilities are everything you need, stunning scenery and the owner is absolutely brilliant, friendly and nothing is too much trouble, view from the cottage garden is amazing if peaceful is what you need We recommend staying here, See you next year.

Loved this little cottage near Bala. Just 2 rental cottages on the plot and 2 other tenanted properties across and up from the semi cottages. It was quiet, beautiful little garden (entrance through gate at side of the cottage) with magnificent views. You do need to drive to get anywhere as main road just off the farm is fast moving and has no pavemRead moreents. Very comfortable and cosy cottage. Well equipped, with everything required. Very clean. A lovely welcome pack on arrival. The owner was very friendly and explained what was required on arrival. I enjoyed a very relaxing stay and enjoyed the stunning surroundings.

We had a lovely week. The cottage is well equipped and very clean. The garden was secure for our dog to play in and location was central to everything we wanted to do. the host was very accommodating and very welcoming. The town of Bala is a 10 minute drive away and has all the essentials, co-op, pharmacy, butchers, restaurants and pubs. For a Read morevery reasonably priced pint, The Goat is the pub to be. Friendly staff and good service - even the locals love a chat! We had very nice weather all week, but even if you don't there is plenty to see and do. Very nice part of Wales - we will be back. Hide

The cottage was perfect, simple as that. Had everything you need for a short or long stay. The owner was more than welcoming and even let us feed the lambs at her farm. Was a very special time we had and i couldnt recommend the place more!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Crud y Wennol. The property is cosy, warm throughout and well laid out. It is tastefully converted with tiled floors and oak features throughout. It is well equipped has great views and private parking in front of the entrance. I would like to thank Anne for the best break away, at her cottage. Anne was more than accommodating and such a lovely lady, especially as I was unwell whilst away typical but Anne even offered to take me to the doctors as I was away from family. The cottage itself was beautiful, inside and out with amazing views!
