This charming country hideaway offers peace and seclusion; it is situated close to the picture-postcard fishing ports of Polperro and Looe which make it the perfect holiday home for a couple’s break. The village of Pelynt (2 miles) has two shops, a traditional pub and a historic 14th century church. There are shops, galleries and restaurants in Looe (6 miles), where you can buy fresh-caught fish on the quayside. Explore its narrow streets and take a short boat trip out to Looe Island, an important marine and nature reserve where you may spot grey seals. Quaint Polperro, renowned for its pretty, flower-covered cottages, was once notorious for smuggling. Discover how this dangerous trade thrived at the Heritage Museum of Smuggling and Fishing. The village is still a working port and in summer the Polperro Fishermen’s Choir, famous throughout Cornwall, gives open-air concerts on the quayside. Enjoy the glorious coastline at beautiful beaches such as Lantic Bay, Lansallos and Talland Bay, all within 6 miles.
Beautifully furnished and designed, the barn retains its original beams above an open-plan living room/diner, with comfortable sofas, a Smart TV with DVD player and a wood burner, A sumptuous double bedroom and bathroom with shower and WC complete the picture of this cosy haven.
A gravel courtyard outside has a table and chairs, and there is a separate enclosed garden space.
