Roaring fires, a lavish double-ended bath and marvellous countryside views make this property a truly special haven in the midst of the Peak District National Park. Located in the sleepy hamlet of Parwich, you’ll have a plethora of walking trails on your doorstep to suit all abilities, and the nearby pub offers crisp ale and delicious food to recharge. Ashbourne is 7 miles away with its jumble of shops, restaurants and cafes, but it is also best known for being the gateway to the Peaks. Visit the famous stepping stones of Dovedale, scale Thorpe Cloud and test your daring with a trip to Lovers Leap. The Tissington Trail is a treat for walkers and cyclists, or why not board the heritage railway and admire the landscape from a new perspective?

Brimming with original features from the moment you step through the stone exterior, your cottage is charm personified with its timber-beamed ceilings and crackling fires. An open fire welcomes you into the first floor lounge, creating a soothing atmosphere for snuggling up together and watching TV. There’s a wood burner in the kitchen/diner too, providing an atmospheric setting for evening meals. Finished in a country cottage style, the kitchen has bespoke fitted units, appliances and a pine table and chairs for your convenience. The bathroom is also on the ground floor, an elegant room with a bath and a separate walk-in shower. The bedroom is on the top floor and boasts a king-size bed, high ceilings and excellent views, plus a handy en-suite WC.

Heading outside, the pretty patio is a tranquil space for relaxing in the sunshine with a drink in hand. There is a shed for storing bikes, and the friendly owners have two bicycles you are welcome to borrow for your adventures.

Very comfortable and well equipped. Nothing forgotten. Only difficulty for us (both into our seventies) was the three story layout , which we knew about. Similarly, as you would expect for a very old cottage some low ceilings. We had a very enjoyable stay and we and our dog were made very welcome at The Sycamore Inn.

We have just come home from a short Christmas break at farm view cottage. We had an amazing time. The city is beautiful and very cosy. The kitchen is a great size and makes you want to spend time in there. Its fully equipped and even had a lovely welcome pack waiting for us. The bathroom is very inviting with the under floor heating! I was unsureRead more about the property being on 3 levels & the lounge on the first floor, but it somehow made it even more cosy. The open fire definitely gave it the Christmas feel that we were after. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Hide

The cottage was 1st class, everything you could need, down to milk in the fridge and a packet of biscuits on arrival. The bathroom/wet room was excellent.

The property was in good condition and overall we enjoyed our stay.. The ground floor bathroom was exceptionally good. However I ham 6 foot tall and I hit my head several times. However, the let was set over 3 floors with 2 flights of stairs to negotiate. I did not know of this until after I had made the payment for it.
