Just 4 miles from the bustling town of Keswick, you can walk or bike from here on the path which runs along the old railway's line. This area offers a great base to get out and explore the Northern Lakes and Fells. Threlkeld village is set at the foot of Blencathra with its pubs, golf course and cricket club, it is just over a mile away. Why not try some of the Gins on offer at the Lakes distillery or if you prefer something a bit more energetic visit Derwent Water and Bassenthwaite Lake, enjoy some water sports or a cruise. There are so many activities locally, including indoor climbing, horse trekking, and Alpaca walking.
This pretty, well-equipped shepherd hut is open-plan with a double bed, wall-mounted TV, breakfast bar/dining area and French doors looking out over the Fells. The cute bijou kitchen area is perfectly equipped to rustle up a nice breakfast or romantic dinner with a microwave and fridge. There is a shower room with WC off the main living space.
Head outside you will find a private seating area to the front of the property overlooking the fells which is just the best place to read a good book or enjoy a glass of wine after a day of exploring. There is private parking for one car.
