Hidden down the picturesque country lanes of Shropshire Hills AONB, this former 1780s cow house has been thoughtfully renovated to create an intimate, luxurious space for couples seeking respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Nestled among natural surroundings between Brown Clee and Cleehill Summit, it’s ideal for outdoor enthusiasts with numerous footpaths and cycleways on the doorstep –spend your days exploring the stunning rural landscape. The enchanting, medieval town of Ludlow (8 miles) known for its cobbled streets, quirky architecture and vibrant local food scene, is your closest town for quality amenities or head 12 miles east to Bridgnorth; another charming market town straddling the River Severn and home to the oldest and steepest inland funicular railway. Visit nearby Kidderminster (20 miles), Ironbridge (20 miles), and Shrewsbury (27 miles) with ease, along with the National Trust properties around Leominster.

Feel the authentic charm and age of this beautifully curated barn conversion as soon as you step into the completely open-plan, single-level arrangement. As you stand on the stone floor in the spacious kitchen and dining area, marvel at the impressive A-frame oak beams and exposed stone walls that run the length of the property, imagining how the building once housed cows on the farm, many centuries ago. Attention to sustainability is evident throughout your stay, with recycled materials used for the kitchen units and reworked quality furniture. A traditional farmhouse-style kitchen provides ample space and equipment to cook up a romantic meal for your loved one, with locally sourced produce purchased from nearby Ludlow. Moving down the property, a quirky, stylish bathroom with a traditional roll-top bath; a classic feature that exudes sophistication, is a seamless extension to the open-plan living space. A privacy screen made of traditional oak beams offers a sense of seclusion without disrupting the unique, airy feel of the space. The WC is closed off beyond a solid wood, lockable door. Unwind in a relaxing bubble bath after a long day outdoors or use the handheld shower as a quick wake-me-up before a busy day of adventuring. Large sliding doors at the end of the property invite the beauty of the outdoors inside, allowing you to marvel at the stunning countryside views from the comfort of the plush sofa in the living area, or to accompany a lazy morning in your king-size bed with freshly brewed coffee. In the colder months, close the doors and let the traditional wood burner in the corner of the room warm you up while still enjoying the beautiful views that make you feel connected to the outdoors.

Outside, a small patio area with a bistro table and chairs is perfect for unwinding with your drink of choice in the evening, whilst chicken and ducks wander freely around the grounds. The property is surrounded by farmer fields and is one of a few barns on site, and there’s off-road parking for two cars.

You can tell the owners have put a lot of love and effort into making the place feel high standard. No cheap furniture, everything was high quality and it showed and was appreciated. Bed was super comfy and the bedding was lovely. Roll top bath was a joy to relax into. We received a lovely warm welcome and everything felt personalised down to pRead moreroviding us with a personal list of things we might enjoy based on our conversation we had about what we like to do. Received fresh flowers and wine on arrival and thank you for the special touch at the Angel for our celebrations. And a great meal choice too! We stayed 3 nights here, everything felt peaceful and away from it all. And I think they have been really creative with how theyve designed the property. I would recommend to others. Thank you Anya. You made it a lovely stay. Hide
