Lovingly restored with evident attention to detail, this colourful coastal home in Whitsand Bay, part of Cornwall's 'Forgotten Corner', is pet-friendly and in an idyllic location with magnificent sea views. Charmingly furnished and full of character, it offers a peaceful oasis for two, with miles of golden sands on the doorstep. The chalet is the ultimate in fuss-free self-catering being a mere minutes walk to the Cliff Top Cafe with its friendly staff, delicious food and stunning views. You will be spoiled for choice! Bel-Nor-Cot is also walking distance to the Fort Inn, renowned for its Sunday roasts, The View restaurant which specialises in tapas, charcuterie boards and wine, as well as a plethora of excellent pubs and restaurants in all the surrounding villages. The chalet is moments from the SW Coast Path, enjoy scenic clifftop walks to the dramatic Rame peninsula and medieval chapel, home to the rare Dartford Warbler, and picturesque Kingsand-Cawsand, the shoot location for Mike Leigh's award winning film of Turner. Inland, two beautiful gardens, both within 5 miles, offer a change of terrain: Mount Edgcumbe House is set in an ancient country park with formal gardens, woodlands and wild deer, a fort, temple, several follies and an Orangery tearoom with lovely views across the River Tamar, while the National Trust’s Antony House has a historic plant collection, playful topiary and intriguing sculptures.

The chalet sits within a gorgeous flower-rich garden. This couple’s quirky escape has a striking façade and high-end interiors that simply ooze character and charm. Pause to admire the breath-taking bay views before you step inside; the entrance hall has room for coats, boots and beach gear. Beyond, the open-plan living space is flooded with light thanks to fully-glazed double doors onto the garden. Painted furniture, a wood burner, stained-glass windows and coastal-themed artworks create a warm and welcoming ambiance, and there’s an effortless flow between the kitchen, dining and lounge areas. When it’s time to retire, a door leads directly into a blissful king-size bedroom, with its luxury handmade Vispring mattress for a perfect night's sleep, and plenty of clothes storage space. Another door from the living room leads into an elegant bathroom with feature tiling, a free-standing bath and separate rain shower.

The gardens here are an enchanting extension to your living space, with beautiful planted borders plus a lawn, patio, gas BBQ, outdoor dining area, hot & cold outdoor shower and a dog shower. Lay back on the two loungers on the secluded sundeck and soak up the sunshine, enjoy bubbles beneath the stars as you spend evenings in the hot tub – robes are supplied – or follow stepping stones across the lawn to a separate garden room where you can unwind with a book or nab an afternoon nap while gazing out to the Eddystone Lighthouse
