Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life in this romantic bolthole in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The luxurious stone annexe, set in the quaint village of Burtersett, sleeps two guests and offers the perfect base for couples or solo travellers who love getting out and about in nature. The surrounding area is a paradise for walkers and cyclists, with easy access to long-distance trails such as the Pennine Way, Yorkshire Three Peaks, and Yorkshire Dales Cycleway. You’ll also be close to some of the region’s top beauty spots, including Hardraw Force and Aysgarth Falls (both within 10 miles). For history enthusiasts, a visit to the 14th-century Bolton Castle (12 miles) is a must, followed by a wander around the colourful gardens. The vibrant market town of Hawes (1 mile) has a wonderful array of independent shops and eateries.
The stylish annexe sits alongside a similar holiday home, surrounded by the breathtaking Yorkshire countryside. Inside, the elegant stone property has been beautifully decorated and furnished, with creature comforts and luxurious extras to make your stay as relaxed as possible. The main living space is a bright, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a fabulous vaulted ceiling, exposed trusses, and a calming colour scheme. Along one wall is a sleek kitchen area for rustling up delicious dinners for two, which you can share at the cute dining table. In the evenings, snuggle up on the sumptuous sofa to watch a movie on the Smart TV. A small flight of steps leads down to the inviting king-size bedroom which, like the rest of the property, is decorated in muted tones. Sliding doors open from here onto a private patio – the perfect spot for a morning coffee. Completing the accommodation is a contemporary shower room.
Outside, you’ll have a choice of two patio areas. To the front of the property is a delightful space with spectacular rural views, along with outdoor seating and a BBQ for enjoying an al fresco supper on a summer’s evening. Just off the bedroom is a second enclosed patio where you can sit with a glass of wine as you plan the next day’s itinerary. The rural retreat has secure storage for bikes and private parking for one car.Edit Description
