This charming retreat is ideal for couples or solo travellers to explore the Kent and Sussex countryside. Situated on the edge of the village of Rolvenden, with its historic windmill and Hole Park Gardens, this is an excellent starting point for walkers and garden enthusiasts alike. A 2.5-mile drive brings you to the tree-lined high street of Tenterden, filled with independent shops, pubs and supermarkets. A visit to the award-winning Chapel Down Vineyard in Small Hythe (4.5 miles) is an interesting and enjoyable day out. Alternatively, historic Rye or the beach at Camber Sands are also within 16 miles. Rolvenden itself has a weekly farmers' market, a local shop, a pub and a collection of historic vehicles. There are also two Michelin-starred restaurants and a vibrant mix of gastropubs in the neighbouring towns and villages.
From the moment you pull up on the driveway, this delightful, foliage-covered cottage will win your heart. The lovely conservatory is the favoured spot to dine with an antique dining table and chairs alongside comfortable seating from which to enjoy the garden views. French doors lead to the beautiful living room with more comfy seating, Welsh dresser and TV in the corner. The fully-equipped kitchen, inviting double bedroom and panelled bathroom make up the rest of the single-story accommodation.
Outside is a private patio with a dining set, and guests can benefit from the use of the owner's fruit tree-filled garden that leads to an unfenced wildlife pond and summer house.
