"The property more than met our expectations. Woodland Lodge is one of the best properties we have ever stayed at. Charlotte and John were very welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. Would certainly return if in the area" - Frederick Parkin
Nestled in the glorious Suffolk countryside with lots of space and extra features, this cottage provides the perfect base for a couple wanting to explore the area. The lodge is in a beautiful quiet location just outside the pretty village of Wilby, 2 miles from Stradbroke, where there’s a leisure centre, village shops, and a pub. Unearth some of the area’s fascinating history with a trip to Framlingham’s 12th-century castle 8 miles away, where Mary Tudor was proclaimed the first Queen of England. Head out from the door on a walk or bike ride to discover the countryside or just potter around the owner’s woodland next to the lodge. Explore Suffolk’s scenic coastline on foot along the Suffolk Coast Path or visit one of the county’s coastal resorts with a vast range of entertainment, shops, and places to eat out, including the ever-popular destinations of Aldeburgh and Southwold (both 22 miles away).
The lodge has been furnished to a very high standard throughout. It is all on one level and has a gorgeous, bright sitting room with a wood burner and a collection of films to enjoy, with patio doors to the stunning garden. The fully fitted kitchen continues the soothing hues with pops of colour and there’s a dual-aspect, spacious dining area with room for four at the table. There’s a deluxe king-size room with a TV and DVD player and an amazing luxury bathroom, with twin sinks, a stunning bath, and a separate rainfall shower, perfect for relaxing.
Outside is a pretty cottage garden ready to be explored, with pretty gravel paths and a patio where you can sit and enjoy the view in the Suffolk sunshine. Just beyond the property is an enchanting woodland you’re welcome to explore too.
