A light-filled apartment with sea views, this Aldeburgh retreat is a perfect hideaway for couples. Situated on the second floor of a building on the coastal town’s high street, the one-bedroom property sleeps two guests and is ideal for anyone wishing to be close to shops and eateries, as well as the beach. From here, stroll less than 150 metres on to the shingle, where you can paddle, swim and wander down to see Maggi Hambling’s famous giant scallop sculpture. Make a trip to Snape Maltings, 6 miles away, to see a concert, dine out and while away an afternoon in the shops. Visit Thorpeness too to wander the unusual Suffolk village, which was developed as a fantasy holiday destination.
Make your way up to the second floor of the building and enter to find yourselves in a generous, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with views out over the rooftops towards the sea beyond. Spend your evenings in here together, relaxing in front of a film on TV or preparing romantic meals for two in the kitchen area then dining at the table either inside or out on the balcony. Enjoy a refreshing shower in the family shower room or a bath in the en-suite bathroom before heading through to the double bedroom for the night.
Have coffee out on the main balcony, which can be accessed via the kitchen on sunny mornings. There is also a lovely, smaller balcony just off the bedroom.
