This converted stone barn is located in a peaceful valley and makes for great base for exploring Exmoor National Park, the spectacular rugged coastline of North Devon and nearby historic villages and market towns. Riding, fishing, paddleboarding and kayaking can be enjoyed locally and the scenic Heddon's Mouth, where the valley of the River Heddon meets the Bristol Channel, is less than 2 miles away. The little village of Combe Martin with its lovely beach is just 5 miles away and further afield, Woolacombe (16 miles) and Croyde (20 miles) offer some of the best surfing beaches in the country.
The property is in the centre of a row of three attractive cottages that have retained their original character such as low ceilings downstairs (6’6”). A good size open-plan living/dining room is located on the ground floor and the kitchen area has all you need for preparing meals. A utility room with a washer/dryer is shared with the other two properties. Steep open-tread stairs lead up to the first floor where you will find a double bedroom offering lovely country views and an adjacent bathroom.
The property has a private garden area to the front of the house with a picnic table, as well as a large shared garden with more picnic benches. An enclosed meadow just 50 yards from the cottage is ideal for exercising dogs.
