Situated in the grounds of Pool House, overlooking Loch Ewe and the mountains beyond. An idyllic refuge for romantics or those looking for creative inspiration. Perfect base to enjoy walking, cycling, fishing, golf and water sports, with canoeing and kayaking available. Wildlife boat trips are available from Inverewe and Gairloch. Explore the cliff-top coastal paths with views to the Outer Hebrides, visit the site of the emergency coastal battery built to defend Loch Ewe during WWII, or stroll on the pristine sandy beaches and indulge your archaeological curiosity at Pictish and Viking sites. The area is home to beautiful mountains, hills, lochs and waterfalls in Scotland and the road to Loch Ewe is listed as one of the top ten most scenic drives in the world.

This tastefully decorated boathouse offers a spacious open-plan studio-style space, complete with traditional king-size bed, cathedral ceiling, wood burner and mood lighting. The comfy sofa is the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset over the sea while you watch the wildlife swim past. The TV has Sky Entertainment Plus so you can watch your favourite movie after a long day. The bathroom has underfloor heating, a spacious bath, separate shower and WC. Outside, and up a few steps is the shepherd’s hut with tasteful, retro style decor. Here you will find an electric hob, combi microwave oven, toaster, a small fridge and a kettle for brewing up a cuppa. There is also a table and seating to enjoy your meals, where you can enjoy the views from the windows overlooking the fast-flowing river or open the stable door for views across the bay and to the hills beyond. This is perfect place to relax and indulge your artistic talents. Whether you like to sketch, paint, draw or write the next best-selling novel, you will find plenty of inspiration inside and outside the hut.

Outside there is a small grass area with patio, seating and a table to make the most of the views, and a hot tub to relax in with perhaps a glass of bubbly. There is ample off-road parking in the grounds of Pool House.

A lovely location with everything needed for a relaxing quiet break. The separate kitchen cabin was quirky and well equipped. The hot tub was great. The property is in the grounds of Pool House, which is well worth the house tour they do and the cafe there is also very good. The surrounding area is simply stunning.

It had a quirky kitchen which I soon got used to. The cottage itself was very comfortable and my favourite spot was sitting at a table in front of Loch Ewe, watching all the wild-life whilst having a cup of tea/glass of wine. I saw lots of different birds and also an otter.
